BAMBOO MART OF TRIPURA

( A UNIT OF TWIPRA BAMBOO & CANE HANDICRAFTS)

TBCH was incorporated with the objective of organizing the hitherto untapped tribal bamboo community in Twipra, India which is a significant occupant of its topography, culture & customary practices since borok Kingdom time immemorial. Its formal existence came into being as a coordinated effort of the National Mission on Bamboo Applications (NMBA), Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), National Institute of Design (NID) & Ministry of MSME (SISI), GoI, Agartala is the field realization agency and forms a part of the Tribal Livelihood Management Programme (TLMP) which is a joint effort of Govt. of India & Tribals N.G.O. Community has embarked on a new phase of programme and project in the Tribal bamboo community. The progress of TBCH has been acknowledged by the tribal bamboo community as a change agent whose need was continually felt in Twipra.  

TBCH is a Govt. registration under D.C. (Handicrafts), Govt. of India; Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium, Enterprises (MSME, Formerly- SISI), Govt. of India, Tripura. Certified by Tripura state pollution control Board and Factories & Boilers organization, Govt. of Tripura.

TBCH is also registered by International Network for Bamboo and Cane (INBAR)-affiliated, All Indian Agarbati stick organization, World Bamboo organization to do various development works in the field of Bamboo sector in Twipra,India

• Providing guidance to the bamboo based tribal livelihood in policy, organizational & technical development
