RANCHI: Ashok Kumar Tyagi has taken over as the new Chairman-cum-Managing Director of MECON Limited.
The 57-year-old Tyagi, who took over charge on Thursday, was the Director (Commercial) from March 1, 2012 with Mecon, a company release said here today.
Tyagi was associated with assignments related to Rebuilding of Coke Oven Batteries; Revamping of Rolling Mills, up-gradation of Blast Furnaces, Expansion of Rourkela Steel Plant, Rolling Mills and India's first major Jarosite Containment System.
He was posted to carryout Engineering and Project Management of integrated Steel Plant in Nigeria and Copper Plant in Oman, the release added.
