NEW DELHI: Max Healthcare, a part of business conglomerate Max IndiaBSE -2.56 %, has promoted its Chief Executive OfficerAjay Bakshi as Managing Director.
Bakshi will now hold the responsibilities of both Managing Director and CEO, Max Healthcare said in a statement on Monday.
He had joined Max Healthcare as Chief Executive Officer on November 1, 2011, and led to significant improvements in theclinical, operational, service and financial performance of the company, it added.
"Under Ajay Bakshi's able leadership, the company launched four new hospitals and doubled bed capacity... and achieved significant turnaround in financial performance," the statement said.
Max Healthcare currently has 12 facilities in North India with a total capacity of over 1,900 beds. Out of these, nine facilities are located in Delhi & NCR and the other three in Mohali, Bathinda and Dehradun.
The super speciality hospitals in Mohali and Bathinda are under PPP arrangement with the Punjab government.
