Description

How They Work All three agents work on the oxygen displacement principle — they lower the oxygen level to below the combustion threshold while still being safe for short human occupancy. IG-541 has a small % of CO2 which stimulates breathing, improving safety margin for occupied spaces. IG-100 is pure nitrogen, most cost-effective for refills. IG-55 is a balanced mix of nitrogen and argon, with no CO2 (often preferred in healthcare or life science environments where CO2 might be restricted). Advantages ? Environmentally Friendly — ODP = 0, GWP = 0 ? No Residue — No cleanup required after discharge ? Safe for Electrical Equipment — Non-conductive ? Unlimited Shelf Life — Gas properties remain unchanged over time ? Safe for Occupancy — If designed to NFPA 2001 limits System Components High-pressure agent cylinders (150 or 300 bar) Cylinder valves & discharge hoses Manifold system to combine multiple cylinders Piping network to nozzles Engineered discharge nozzles Detection & control panel (automatic/manual activation) Pressure relief vents (mandatory for room integrity) Application Areas Data centers & server rooms Power control rooms / substations Archives & museums Cleanrooms & semiconductor fabs Offshore platforms Telecom shelters
